Dom's play on

words

Dominique has a conversation with her hometown (Brooklyn).

Brooklyn: "Dom, I was there. I witnessed your heart get sliced apart on my Brooklyn stoop by your first love for some Bronx chick…made you feel like you and me both wasn't worth shit."

Excerpt from original piece "Mental America"
by Dominique Fishback

hear that? It's karma again whispering,
"if you arm third world countries with ammunition
that same weapon will make sacrifices of  your children."
And it did. Poverty said, "divide me and inject me unfairly",
so I did. I gave the black kids glocks. And made goons of little kids.
